Be a star with Energy Star

Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that helps us protect our environment while saving money at the same time. Energy Star can provide your business with a proven energy management strategy to measure current energy performance, set goals, and track savings.

Commercial and industrial facilities make up half of the energy consumption in the U.S. at a cost of over $200 billion a year. Commercial buildings that have earned the Energy Star use on average 35% less energy a year and generate one-third less carbon dioxide a year. The Energy Star website offers free tools and guidelines to become a Energy Star certified commercial or manufacturing building.

Energy Star also certifies a wide variety of commercial appliances, heating & cooling units, construction products, electronics, and office products. Energy Star certified products use 25-50% less energy, reduce air pollution because fewer fossil fuels are burned, provide a significant return on investment, and have an extended product life and decreased maintenance. Be sure to look for the Energy Star logo when purchasing products for your facility.
