Energy Star is a joint venture between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy that helps us protect our environment while saving money at the same time. Energy Star approved products must meet strict efficiency guidelines. The Energy Star logo adorns products that are energy efficient, making it easy for you to make green choices.

The Energy Star website offers a variety of tools to help you analyze your home’s energy use and find solutions to common energy problems. You can even get your home certified as an Energy Star qualified home. To earn this distinction a home must meet guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. After meeting these guidelines homes are usually 20-30% more efficient than standard homes.
